My official birthday is December 27th which is smack dab in the middle of winter and between Christmas and the New Year. Bottom line, my birthday is typically overlooked. This year, I’ve decided to celebrate my 1/2 birthday instead. It’s in the summer and around no major holidays making it the perfect time and reason to celebrate with a race.
So, come celebrate my 27 1/2 birthday with me by running the 1/2 Birthday #Anywhere5K any time between June 23 & 27, 2012. There’s no cost to you. Just sign up and run.

To register complete and submit the ENTRY FORM and then tell everyone on Twitter and Facebook that you’re running.
Come race day we will post a similar FINISHER FORM for you to complete with instructions how to do so. We’ll then tally the results and post them the day after the race (because we want to give folks in Hawaii an opportunity to run) on the results page.
But wait, there are presents!
To make it better, even though it’s my 1/2 birthday you’ll be getting the presents. There will be finisher awards as well as a T-shirt giveaway sponsored by #Anywhere5K. In order to be considered for the T-shirt giveaway all you have to do is:
- Sign up and run the race
- Post your time using the finisher form
- Share a photo of you wearing the #Anywhere5K bib on Twitter with the hashtags #halfBirthday #Anywhere5K

Once all the finishers are in, and the results are tallied, the T-shirt winner will be randomly selected by me, @SheisonaRun.
